Building creative capacity and inspiring museum professionals

Creativity in Museum Practice, my book with co-author Linda Norris (Routledge, 2013), draws on social science research and insights from creative leaders in the field to guide museum professionals in developing a culture of creative learning.

Linda and I continue to build creative capacity through workshops and consulting engagements at institutions such as:

  • Asian Art Museum (San Francisco)

  • Greater Hudson Heritage Network/New York State Council on the Arts Creativity Incubator

  • JFK Museum Studies Program

  • Mystic Seaport

  • Ohio History Connection

  • Museums Association of Saskatchewan

  • USS Constitution Museum

  • Washington State Historical Society

How can I help your museum nurture a creative culture? Let’s talk.

“This book was immediately applicable to my museum practice. A fabulous resource! Thank you for this guidance. I look forward to incorporating these ideas into all areas of practice.” —Amazon reviewer
